Why this stage is hard

Once board is made it must be printed by flexo, litho-lam or digital, where registration must hold within a fraction of a millimeter and color must match brand standards exactly. Registration drifts, plates and anilox wear, inks and substrates shift, and humidity moves everything.

The autonomous print-and-color agent

High-speed edge vision plus inline spectrophotometry detects misregistration, color deviation (ΔE to brand), streaks, hickeys, doctor-blade lines and voids at full press speed, then issues bounded closed-loop moves (registration correction, ink-key and color adjustment, defect holds) to keep every impression on-register and on-brand.

  • Full-speed registration and print-defect vision across flexo, litho and digital
  • Inline brand-color ΔE control with spectrophotometric feedback
  • Bounded closed-loop registration and ink and color correction
  • Color makeready pre-optimization with a full brand-color audit trail

What Chromata does

Defect vision

Streaks, hickeys, voids and misregister caught at full press speed.

Spectro color

Inline ΔE-to-brand control keeps color inside brand tolerance every impression.

Root-cause reasoning

Ties defects back to plate, anilox, ink, substrate and setpoint.

Brand audit trail

Every job’s color record is captured for approved-vendor programs.

How it composes into the plant

Chromata is the pressroom pillar. It consumes the board state from Corvex and feeds print-quality signals into makeready and downstream finishing.

  • Shares the plant-edge data flywheel
  • Uses cross-vendor machine and MES connectors
  • Runs on the common Jetson, Triton and NIM fabric
  • Validated by the Twinflo digital twin before every run

Questions converters ask

Can we run Chromata on a single line first?

Yes. Chromata deploys on one machine under the Line tier so you can measure a baseline, run in shadow mode, and switch on control as ROI proves out.

Does it work with our existing machine and vendor?

Foldeon is built for mixed fleets. Cross-vendor connectors integrate the machine, its PLC and your MES and OEE systems, with no rip-and-replace.

How do operators stay in control?

You choose the autonomy level per workflow: shadow (recommend), assist (approve each move) or autonomous, and every decision is logged and auditable.
